Reinventing the American Republic without changing the constitution

In order to preserve our form of government and base it on the will of our citizens, we must realign the manner of selecting our leaders to protect the power of an individual's vote

Concentric Governance -
A framework for empowering individuals, restoring accountability, reducing societal polarization, and aligning government to the human scale

  • Each inner ring has multiple entities,
e.g. there are many individuals in a
    community, many communities within
a municipality or county, many counties
and municipalities within a state, many
states within a nation, and many nations
    define global cooperation.

  • Each segment within a ring operates as a democratic republic in which the members collectively decide how to deal with the issues that most affect their ring of governance.

  • Authority rests with the smallest governmental body capable of providing the desired services.

  • Centered on the individual

  • Resilience in Diversity - local governments determine their own structure and roles

The path to concentric governance is Devolution – the assumption of authority that is normally held by a larger government by a smaller local government.

Our present form of government IS the two-party system - restoring power to the people means freeing government from the control of political parties

  • The constitution has no role
    for political parties

  • Political parties control the
    election process

  • Political parties control the
    structure and operation of
    all three branches of
    government
